Mark Harland IMR Digital Director General Motors
As of April 1, 2008, Mark Harland is the IMR Digital Director in the South Central Region. In this position Mark supports GM's huge investment in digital marketing in the region with special focus on executing in-market retail advertising/promotions by supporting Regional Marketing Team & Zone Teams to increase number of quality leads through more disciplined marketing program management.

He is also responsible for developing integrated sales, service, parts, accessories and CUV promotions with Zone Teams & Regional Marketing Teams & Dealers along with helping dealers improve the speed and quality of responses. His objective in this role is to improve effectiveness of all marketing at Tier 2 and Tier 3 levels.
In May 2007, Mark joined the Local Marketing and Advertising Group. He managed this group until April 1, 2008. In this position, Mark managed the local advertising and marketing budgets across the country and drove national and divisional marketing programs into Tier II and III. In addition, Mark led a cross section of agencies to support dealer Local Marketing Groups. His role as the Local Marketing and Advertising Manager gave him the tools to develop the Regional IMR teams and assignments.
Mark joined General Motors in 1997 to work in Germany and Switzerland in various roles within European Marketing and the VLE (Vehicle Line Engineering) organization. In late 2001, he returned as a District Sales Manager in New York. In 2002, he became the Field Operations Manager for the Northeast Region and then the Marketing Manager for the Pontiac Division in the Northeast Region. In 2005, he became the Zone Manager for Buick- Pontiac - GMC in New England. In 2006, he came to Detroit, MI as Senior Staff Assistant to the Vice President of Field Sales, Service and Parts.
Mark is a native of Montreal, Canada where his father was a GM dealer for many years. He received his BA from St Lawrence University in Canton, NY. In addition, Mark holds an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology.
